SDF entered a neighborhood in Raqqa

In the past few days, Syrian Democratic Forces fighters took control over some areas in the neighbourhood Nazlat Shahade in the city of Raqqa.


During the clashes one ISIS member was captured alive and bodies of four were seized by SDF fighters, in addition to a large quantity of ammunition.
Heavy clashes between SDF and ISIS continue in the neighbourhoods of Nazlat Shahade and al-Barid.
In separate clashes eight ISIS members had been killed in Rawda neighborhood, while around 1000 civilians have been rescued from the Nazlat Shahade neighbourhood.
SDF special units had broke into the defence lines of the Islamic State in the neighbourhood of Nazlat Shahade and were able to rescue around a thousand civilians. During the rescue operation ISIS members kept firing mortar shells at random on the fighters and civilians. The SDF special units were able to moved the civilians to the safe zones of the neighbourhood of Yarmouk.
SDF fighters also reported some advances in the neighbourhood of Hisham Bin Abdulmalik. Weapons and ammunition have been seized during the operation.
